We don't usually do DIYs, but when we do...it's because we're running out of time to come up with gift ideas for everyone on our list. If you're in the same boat, then HAPPY HOLIDAYS because we're comin' at ya with 3 easy DIY St. Christopher gift ideas. They're so easy that the hardest part is remembering to order the necklaces! So we'll do you a solid and remind you right now- go order some St. Christophers for your people...we'll wait ;)
Good Vibes Bundle
Give it to someone who: is moving, is yoga-obsessed, is starting something new, is in need of good vibes only.
Time: 5 mins
Supplies:
-1 sage smudge stick
-2 sprigs of dried herb (we used lavender)
-1 eucalyptus cutting
-1 St Christopher necklace
-optional: palo santo wood & selenite crystal
-twine or string
-scissors
Step 1: put the herbs, crystal, palo santo, and whatever else you're bundling together in a way that will be easily wrappable.
Step 2: wrap the twine tightly around the bundle several times, leaving enough length at the ends to tie a knot.
Step 3: Remove the St Christopher medallion from the chain and attach it to one end of the twine. Tie a knot so that it's attached, face up, at the front of the bundle.
Step 4: Cut the extra length.
Done! Sage can be burned to expel negative energy out of a space. It's perfect for new beginnings (like the new year!)
Protect Your Pup Collar
Give it to: your dog! or that person who brings their dog up in most conversations (we love/are those people)
Time: 2 mins
Supplies:
-1 dog collar
-scissors (maybe)
-1 St Christopher necklace
Step 1: Take a look at the collar. Can you attach the medallion directly to it? Most collars have a silver jump ring- the thing that the name tag is hanging from. If that's the case, just remove the medallion from the chain and slip it on!
Step 2: If it doesn't have the jump ring (like ours) then you might still be able to slip it on somehow, or you can cut the chain to a keychain length with just regular scissors. Slip the medallion onto the cut chain and then attach it to the collar.
Done! Pups need protection too :)
St Christopher Eco-Friendly Gift Garnish
Give it to: anyone you're giving a gift to who deserves a bonus gift!
Time: 5 mins (or 10 if wrapping is as hard for you as it is for us 😂)
Supplies:
-wrapping materials
-scissors
-tape
-string or twine
-1 christmas tree cutting
-newspaper
-1 St Christopher necklace
-whatever you're wrapping (we recommend St.Christopher anything, of course ;))
Step 1: Prepare your gift to be wrapped.
Step 2: Flatten out a piece of newspaper with NO BAD NEWS on it (v important- we chose the comics section!) and place your gift box, upside-down, right in the middle.
Step 3: Tape one flap of newspaper onto the middle of the box.
Step 4: Cut the opposite flap so that they're even and then tape that one overtop the other.
Step 5: Fold each end of the newspaper into triangles and tape down so that the gift is wrapped nice & tight.
Step 6: Tie the string or twine around the gift in whichever way you'd like, leaving length at the ends to tie a bow.
Step 7: Remove the medallion from the chain and slip onto one end of the string. Tie it in a bow and slide the tree cutting underneath for an extra natural touch. Trim the ends if necessary.
Done! PS- you can always use a gift bag if you'd like! (way easier)
Meaningful gifts make the best gifts :) Happy holidays from us here at Get Back!
